XSpec: Practical tests for XSLT and XML processing
A new template is finished, the output looks right, and the change goes into the project. A few days later, someone notices that emphasis has disappeared from another document. Or column number 27 is being converted incorrectly. When you maintain XSLT, these surprises are familiar. XSpec lets you turn those cases into tests and run them again after every change.
This guide shows how to write tests, find bugs and keep existing stylesheets working while you improve them. You need some XML and XPath knowledge. The examples take you from a single function call to paragraphs with inline markup and automatically generated tests. All code, comments and sample data are in English, and both language editions use the same example files.
