Overview of XPath
XPath is a language for the navigation in XML documents. When you imagine a XML document as a tree, it is possible to address exactly all "nodes" from the root to the smallest branches. The additional functions of the updated version XPath 2.0 leave (almost) nothing to be desired.
- Node types and axes
- Filtering of node sets
- Boolean Operators & Cascading predicates
- Set unions of nodes sets & XPath functions
