The body region
The <w:body> element may consist, among other things, of any number of sections (<wx:sect>), paragraphs (<w:p>) or tables (<w:tbl>). The paragraphs in turn may contain run text elements (<w:r>) which for their part mark the textual content (<w:t>).
The <wx:sect> elements, like all elements with the wx namespace, are not processed by Word 2003, but can be, in particular, very helpful for the hierarchical arrangement.
Moreover, all elements of a proprietary schema (if any) are permitted.
The <w:body> element provides a framework for the content part of the Word document, but it has no influence on the layout of the document.
