2020:
data2type has moved!
After more than eight years in Heidelberg Wieblingen we packed our laptops and moved to the beautiful district of Heidelberg Neuenheim.
Since November 2020 the office and training rooms of data2type GmbH are located in Neuenheimer Landstraße 38/2, 69120 Heidelberg.
2017:
<markupforum/> 2017
On 17 November 2017 already the seventh <markupforum/> takes place, as usual at the HdM in Stuttgart.
data2check: the free online service
Since February 2017, the free online service data2check is available under www.data2check.com and was already successfully introduced at the Markupforum 2016 and the XML Prague 2017 conference.
2016:
<markupforum/> 2016
On 11 November 2016 already the sixth <markupforum/> takes place, as usual at the HdM in Stuttgart.
XML Prague 2016
This year the organisation team of the XML Prague has come up with some new ideas! The XML event takes place from 11 to 13 February 2016, from Thursday to Saturday, so markup nerds being in love have the opportunity for doing some sightseeing in the Czech capital on Valentine's Day. The conference venue is, as in previous years, the University of Economics in Prague. Participants can look forward to promising presentations, Users Meetups and trainings.

The MathML Handbook is now online!
Now, you can find "The MathML Handbook" by Pavi Sandhu (CHARLES RIVER MEDIA, INC., 2003) on the data2type homepage.
A powerful XML-based markup language for publishing mathematics on the Web, MathML makes it possible to develop Web-based applications for displaying, searching, indexing, archiving and evaluating mathematical content.
<markupforum/> 2015
On 20 November 2015 already the fifth <markupforum/> takes place, as usual at the HdM in Stuttgart. The keynote will be held by Ivan Herman, W3C Digital Publishing Activity Lead.
XML Prague 2015
This year the XML Prague takes places for the 10th time! On this occasion, numerous developers, markup specialists and XML nerds meet in the Czech capital in order to discuss etablished as well as new technologies. Team data2type is again participating and looking forward to new ideas and interesting discussions.
In 2015, the XML event takes place from 13 to 15 February. The conference venue is, as in previous years, the University of Economics in Prague.

On 14 November 2014 the <markupforum/> takes place in Stuttgart under the motto “Metadata and more ...”.
XSLT and XPath function reference now online!
New content: the reference of the XSLT 2.0 and XPath 2.0 functions is now online.
The XSLT and XPath function reference is an excerpt from the German specialist book "XSLT 2.0 und XPath 2.0" (Galileo Computing, 2008) by Frank Bongers and was translated for the data2type homepage into English.
The Schematron QuickFix project
On 14 March 2014, our Schematron developer Nico Kutscherauer published his project „Schematron QuickFix“. This open source project which is supported by the W3C extends the Schematron language by the functionality of defining QuickFixes. An implementation should offer the user these QuickFixes for the reported Schematron errors. With just one click the user can decide which QuickFix acceptably fixes the error.

<markupforum/> 2013 – We thank you for a successful event
With about 180 participants, this year's <markupforum/> on 22 November at the Stuttgart Media University (HdM) was a complete success. Numerous presentations and speeches on the topic of "XML editing and workflows" provided the broad audience an overview of the current state and trends for publishing with XML.
Spanish version of the data2type homepage now online available
The data2type GmbH has expanded its website by a further language and provides its content now also in Spanish.
<markupforum/> 2013
On 22 November 2013 the <markupforum/> takes place in Stuttgart for the third year in a row. This year the topic „XML editing and workflows“ is at the focus. The keynote will be held by Michael Sperberg-McQueen, the former chair of the W3C XML Coordination Group.
Web presence of the data2type GmbH now also in French
The XML specialist data2type has translated big parts of its website into French. Apart from information on services, products and news from the XML world, the website also contains a comprehensive knowledge pool about XML technologies.
data2type founds partner company parsQube
The data2type GmbH, the specialist for XML-based publishing processes, has founded the partner company parsQube GmbH on 2 January 2013. parsQube offers consulting for the handling of large XML data volumes, analyses of existing data and development services in the XQuery technology and XML databases.

Together into the future of international Web standards and guidelines: data2type is an official W3C Member
The data2type GmbH is now an official Member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and has consequently become part of the expert group dealing with brainstorming, the qualified exchange and the promotion of international Web standards and guidelines. The members of the W3C take the leading role as innovators in the future of the Web and provide the strategic direction.

antillesXML starts into the next level. The combination of XML tools is unique in this form and has been considerably upgraded and optimized over the last months. Together with the Stuttgart Media University (HdM), we have further developed antillesXML and offer the new version 2.0 as a free download here on our website.
